Chelsea intended to acquire 75 percent of SAD from Portimonense led by Rodiney Sampaio and, in that sense, made a proposal of €40 M – which could reach €50 M -, which was rejected. At the origin of the decision is the fact that the shareholders are more interested in the success of the project than in a sale. Faced with denial, according to The Guardian newspaper yesterday, the English turned to Strasbourg, which militates in Ligue 1, with the business in final stage. The interest of the English comes from the last quarter of 2022, when Todd Boehly soon learned that he would hardly achieve his goal. Even so, according to a SAD source, sums were placed on the table: €40 M, which could reach € 50 M with bonus, for 75 percent of SAD. The shareholders, however, are betting on the project, considering the matter closed for now.
