Cameroon: Orange opens its mobile money service to subscribers of other telecom operators

(Ecofin Agency) – Telecom operator Orange Cameroon announced last week that it had opened its mobile money service to subscribers of other telecom operators. MTN Cameroon, Camtel and Nextel subscribers can now open Orange Money accounts without having to change their number. The initiative should enable Orange to strengthen its leadership in the mobile money segment in Cameroon, where it claims 70% market share.
