This weekend the emeritus queen and her daughters, the Infanta Elena and Cristina returned to Greece for the funeral mass of the queen’s brother, Constantine, which was taking place in the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens. The emeritus has felt most supported in these days of pain due to the farewell of her brother and this Monday she returned to her official commitments with her best smile. Specifically, Doña Sofía attended the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid on Monday, February 20, to present the 2023 Ibero-American Patronage Awards, promoted by the Callia Foundation.
